Cyndee Reed & Val McMichael

Oct 31, 2008 05:00PM ● By Super Admin

Not identical, Val McMichael is a redhead and Cyndee Reed is the blonde. Their taste in clothes is similar and their thoughts are often the same. People call them “the twins” because they are sisters of the heart, usually together and always available for one another. Both have lived in Granite Bay for almost 30 years, and both in their same houses.
McMichael is more worldly. She has traveled extensively. Reed is the local girl-next-door, a sixth generation Californian, born to a ‘49er Gold Rush pioneer family. McMichael brings international knowledge and artistic flair to everything they do. Reed brings organization, stability and the local touch. Together they get things done. Others are excited by their energy and often want to become involved with them. Their friendship is unparalleled. But what makes these gals really special is their generous involvement with over 20 charity affiliations, each, over the past two decades.
Reed is currently the Director of Religious Education and Program Director for The ROCK Faith Formation at St. Joseph Marello Parish in Granite Bay. McMichael is currently pursuing local showings of her photography. Both are involved with the following charitable organizations and causes: Kops to Kids – Operation Santa Claus; St. Joseph Marello Catholic Charity; Eureka School District Fund Raising; SPCA; The American Cancer Society; and Siblings in Cancer – The Bresnyan Family.
