Introducing: Correen Bergquist and Curtis Brown with Performance Heating & Air Conditioning

5011 Golden Foothill Parkway, Suite 5, El Dorado Hills, 916-933-2683, performanceheatingandairconditioning.com

Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

I’m a second-generation HVAC business owner. My father was a heating and air contractor in Burlington, Vermont, and I worked for him at a very young age. I ended up moving to Walnut Creek and starting my own business. In 1995, I moved the business to El Dorado Hills and have been serving the community—both commercial and residential—since 1995.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We’ve been serving 15 convalescent homes up and down the Highway 99 corridor for over 30 years. We pride ourselves on knowledge and honesty, allowing customers to make the decision on how they would like to spend their dollars. We have also donated time and services to the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

They’re knowledgeable about the inner workings of HVAC systems—from large commercial boilers, to complicated controls, and new communication technology, all the way down to the basic air flow needs of residential homes. We pride ourselves on being a one-stop shop for all your heating and air conditioning needs and are one of the few companies left who will "service" your HVAC system—not just tell you that you need to replace it.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Our favorite is The Independent (especially when we get Jake as our waiter). Bricks, Jack Russell Brewery, and Cascada are also great.

And finally, customer service is…?

Having the ability to share a friendly voice and handle a customer’s needs. Also, giving clients value and being available to answer their questions and fix the problem is imperative in this industry.
