This event promises an exciting evening dedicated to promoting early literacy for children and young adults from kindergarten through high school. Event Highlights: The 5th Annual Literacy Awareness Night offers a unique opportunity for families to engage in a variety of literacy activities, create fun bookmarks, sign up for free library cards, pick up free books, and learn more about local literary initiatives. Special Partners and Presenters: Kristen Murray, Solano County Library Jacalyn Eyvonne and Kathleen Herrmann, Co-Poets Laureate, City of Vallejo Guest Authors: Tony Wade, author of "Growing up in Vacaville," will share insights and stories. Jacalyn Eyvonne, author of "Venting to Verse," will lead an interactive session for middle and high school students. Exciting Activities: Youth Poetry Letters: Learn about submission opportunities for poetry anthologies. KidsNFilm: Discover submission opportunities for the International KidsNFilm Festival. Youth Poetry Puzzling Activities: Engage in activities facilitated by Vallejo Co-Poets Laureate. Book Venting to Verse: An interactive session specifically for middle and high school students.
