The 55th Anniversary of The Beatles White Album
A Benefit for Music Education
The Beatles' 1968 self-titled album had most of its songs written in the spring of that year when the band were at a Transcendental Meditation course in Rishikesh, India.
Ringo, The Beatles drummer said: "When it came to the White Album, I loved the White Album because it wasn't really mentioned, but we knew we wanna be a band again. I love The White Album." Specifically, Ringo loved the energy in the studio.
The Beatles Guitar Project Rock Orchestra has performed The White Album live in concert many times, "I feel the same as Ringo does about this music, except that we get to perform the music live in concert. This is my all time favorite Beatles Record to perform live in Concert. We've played everything from Hard Day's Night all the way to Abbey Road; but The White Album, is by far the most fun album to play live in Concert!" says Benjamin J McClara, Artistic Director, who transcribed and arranged the show for the stage, and teaches a small group of students at Sac Prep Music Academy their parts, so that they can play along with the pro band. It's a program like no other. This, combined with the Digital Video Production, makes The Beatles Guitar Project Rock Orchestra shows the most top notch rock orchestra in our entire Sacramento region. There is nothing locally that compares to this Rock Show! This is it!!!
The Beatles Guitar Project isn't a "national touring band," this is our home town region. The money we raise from these concerts we actually put back into our communities. This is exactly why you should support this concert! Because "In The End, The Love You Take, Is Equal To The Love You Make," and The Beatles Guitar Project absolutely loves our hometown community.
