The Exhibition opens on June 8, 2023, with a reception at 6 pm that includes refreshments and poetry readings by poets Lara Gularte and Rina Wakefield. The exhibition will run through August 6, 2023.

FIRE/LAND: The Exhibition is an installation of Ameera Godwin’s digital prints and video, representing the artist’s creative journey into local forest lands in response to wildfire and climate grief, vulnerability, and responsibility.

FIRE/LAND: Knowing the Territory, an art rock opera for the forest, is co-presented by American River Conservancy and Myrtle Tree Arts, to be performed on June 10, 2023 at Wakamatsu Farm, Placerville.

The Switchboard Gallery is located at 525 Main Street in Placerville. It’s open Monday to Wednesday from 1-4 pm and Thursday through Sunday from 11 am – 4 pm.
