The need in our community has not ceased due to COVID -19, nor has the dedication of the members of Assistance League ® Sierra Foothills to provide assistance through their many philanthropic programs. Since this year we can no longer generate the revenue needed by hosting our traditional Homes for the Holidays Tour and spring Gardens of the Hills Tour, our members have come up with new creative fundraising alternatives. The first will be a Wreath Sale of fall and holiday wreaths beginning on, appropriately the first day of fall, September 22, 2020.

Recently Assistance League Sierra Foothills members gathered for a wreath making social using supplies generously donated by members and individuals from our community to create many beautiful and unique wreaths for the Wreath Sale. These wreaths, some of which are pictured above, will go on sale beginning September 22nd and new wreaths will be posted weekly until all have been sold. Sales will be conducted via NextDoor and Facebook and will be sold on NextDoor using their new Sell for Good program which allows buyers to pay using PayPal. Cash and checks will also be accepted for sales on NextDoor and Facebook.

Buyers will have an option to have their donation go to Sponsor a Child which will provide homeless and less fortunate children the opportunity to participate in organized youth programs and to shop for new clothing.
