Students will take a brief dive into art history to learn about the masters and the paintings they are known for with a focus on artists from diverse cultural backgrounds from around the world. Participants will create their own projects inspired by each artist by using a similar style, art techniques & materials. Enjoy the creative and imaginative process and discover the wide range of methods used by the most well-known artists in the world and then break all the rules to make your own work!

All materials and instruction will be provided. Class is limited to 10 students.

• Week 3: 9/17 – Gebre Kristos Desta – Abstract Expressionism & Flower Bouquet Paintings
• Week 4: 9/24 – Yayoi Kusama – Contemporary Art & Pop Art Paintings
