"To practice any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow. So do it." -- Kurt Vonnegut Join us for an art workshop to create an expressive self-portrait! Lead by regional artist, Deidre Trudeau, you will enjoy learning basic art making skills before diving in to create your own expressive portrait. Open to all veterans, this workshop will offer an overview of drawing and painting techniques to design your own portrait on paper and canvas. All instruction and art materials will be provided. Attendees are welcome to bring their own ephemera collage materials if they wish to incorporate them into their work. Lead by regional artist: Deidre Trudeau. Space is limited to 18 participants. Free for Veterans. Please complete online registration below to reserve your seat. This program is made possible thanks to a Veterans in the Arts grant awarded by the California Arts Council.
