Hikers can explore either an easy 3-mile loop or an extended and steeper 6-mile loop, your choice. The 3-mile start explores a little-known trail that includes an easy ¼- mile cross-country section (so wear some sturdy shoes), visits a most unusual rock, and stops by a prehistoric Indian grinding site. Hikers can take the road back to the parking lot at this point, or continue up along the west ridge for awesome views.
