Camino Event: Susi Parron and the American Quilt Trail Movement

Suzi's journey began in 2001 documenting the quilt trail movement. Today, hand painted quilt squares form a long, imaginary clothesline appearing on thousands of buildings in over 33 states and Canada. El Dorado County currently proudly displays twenty three. With her beautiful full-color slide presentation, she weaves enchanting narratives of people, places, and family farms. This growing public art movement, provides rural economic development, increased tourism, local history and an American folk art phenomenon.

A short presentation about The Quilt Trail Project in El Dorado County will follow with a fun lunch, along with Suzi’s books and calendar sales, and a trunk show of hand made fabric quilts. For more infomation contact Linda George 530-295-1420 or email her at [email protected]
