Folsom Event: “Pushing the Boundaries” Opening Reception at Gallery at 48 Natoma

Color and form: from primary red, blues and yellows to abstract forms and simple shapes will fill the space at the Gallery at 48 Natoma in Folsom. The Gallery is “Pushing the Boundaries,” with an exciting sculpture installation. Two acclaimed artists, Carol Ladewig will exhibit a fascinating series of color and light studies, including wall-sized installations, and Kim Thoman will display mixed-media, 3D printed sculpture, wall relief sculpture and steel embellished paintings.

“Pushing the Boundaries,” will open on September 13 and continue through November 7, 2019.  In the adjacent Community Gallery at 48 Natoma, the 13th Annual Folsom Focus Photography Contest will be on display. The contest is coordinated and sponsored by the Folsom Arts Association. This year’s contest was juried by professional photographers Lynne Edwards and Ken Mahar. Winners and awards will be announced at the opening reception.

The public is invited to celebrate both exhibits at the free opening reception on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m., with refreshments, wine and live saxophone music by Jerry Fairlie.
