What you enjoy most about your profession: Helping children grow into kind, motivated individuals who will make a difference in the world. 

Fun fact about your company: American River Montessori (ARM) is named after the American River. The child on the logo is my daughter looking through a magnifying glass. 

Customer service is: Credibility and trust are key. ARM strives to provide reliable, evidence-based information that builds confidence in parents so they can make informed parenting decisions.  

You started your business, because: I wanted to help children develop social, emotional, and academic skills. 

First job: Babysitting. 

Favorite local restaurants: Kabob House and Visconti's Ristorante—please don’t make me choose! 

Favorite small business: The Nicholson Music Co. They have a contagious, positive spirit and are family-owned. 

Last big purchase: A shade sail from Pacific Shade Sails. 

When not working, you can be found: Conducting research on how to support developing children.
