We’re soon approaching our 22nd year of producing STYLE Magazine, and there are many people to thank, but I'll begin with the most important people: our readers. We’re most grateful for your support.

Magazines can mean different things to different people—but, ultimately, a publication like STYLE is a composite of its partners, readers, and our coverage of the community. For over 260 consecutive months, STYLE has strived to provide local information and original editorial content about the people, places, and businesses that make our region so extraordinary.

Our success is always measured by reader satisfaction and their involvement with each month's glossy print publication. We continue listening and working hard to deliver a quality product to the community at no charge. Of course, being free is possible thanks to our ability to attract and partner with the best local businesses and their marketing dollars. We’re extremely grateful for these partnerships; it truly forms a beneficial cycle of “magazine,” “local business,” and “reader” that continues to benefit all parties.

My husband, Kyle, and I became the new owners/publishers of STYLE earlier this year, after having worked for the founders and previous publishers, Terry and Wendy, for almost five years. Fortunately, they remain heavily involved to help guide the magazine through this transition and will continue to do so. Our entire team is incredibly grateful for their support.

This month’s magazine highlights the winners of our Readers’ Choice Awards: the area’s “best” people and places, according to those who voted. These awards go to over 1,600 local businesses and individuals. What many find interesting is that over 92% of the winners are not advertisers. The simple reason for this is that our readers chose them—not us.

We’re proud to bring our readers the region's #1 magazine and largest of its type in Northern California. We remain humbled and proud of what we do and thankful for our readers and partners. Enjoy the issue!
