“Let’s get Boomba!” That’s the motto at Folsom’s Boomba Tea, and you’ll end up saying it again and again after visiting. The modern, welcoming space feels extra fun and friendly, thanks to an eager-to-please, well-versed staff. I ordered the Oreo Blizzard (I was told it’s one of their most popular drinks); on the menu it’s described as an “Oreo concoction blended with tapioca in a cream-lined cup and splashed with A2 milk”; I would describe it as a “yummy, creamy, chocolaty treat that you won’t want to share.” My daughter ordered the Strawberry Supreme Tea (another popular pick): premium green tea with ice, shaken with strawberries, and garnished with lemon. It was refreshing, fruity, and really (really!) good. Both drinks were almost too pretty to sip. We also tried a Boomba Waffle, which tasted more like a light, airy donut as opposed to a heavy waffle. It was served with a condensed milk topping, which provided the perfect sweetness, and fresh strawberries. Other food offerings include popcorn chicken, musubi (spam sautéed in a tasty sauce over rice and wrapped in nori), and four varieties of ramen—all curated by their in-house chef. Let’s get Boomba!
