What’s Up In June 2024: Notable Happenings in our Local Communities.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar (kurasushi.com), which offers guests a unique “eatertainment” experience by serving authentic Japanese cuisine through an engaging conveyor belt system, opened in Roseville at 250 Gibson Drive, Suite 140.

 

Performance health and wellness center Arctic Elevation (arcticelevation.com) is opening three sites in the region: Roseville (1470 Eureka Road, Suite 150), Rocklin (6620 Lonetree Boulevard, Suite 100), and El Dorado Hills (1004 White Rock Road, Unit 200). Expect services like IV drip therapy, cryotherapy, red light therapy, infrared sauna, and compression therapy; monthly memberships, day passes, and walk-in options are all available.

Taj Grill Indian Cuisine (tajgrillfolsom.com), an upscale, family-owned restaurant with existing locations in Napa, Vallejo, and Benicia, opened in Folsom at 9500 Greenback Lane, Suite 33. Patrons can expect both North and South Indian dishes, including curries, biryanis, tandoori, kababs, and several specialty naans, including cheese pizza naan and Kashmiri naan stuffed with fruit and nuts.

 

Sattva California (sattvacali.com), a sanctuary for meditation, breathwork, and yoga integrated with transformative knowledge, opened at 3195 Zinfandel Drive, Suite 23, in Rancho Cordova. Home of “positive mind performance training” (30-minute classes designed for busy minds and practiced sitting on chairs, couches, or cushions), the studio also offers retreats and workshops with various membership options.

 

Semiconductor giant Qualcomm (qualcomm.com)—which recently announced its AI PC platforms: Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus—opened a research and development office at 1024 Iron Point Road in Folsom. The San Diego-based company, which employs roughly 50,000 people worldwide, chose Folsom for its flourishing tech ecosystem and great depth of talent in the industry.

 

Pier 50 Sushi (fukumirestaurantgroup.com/pier-50-sushi), an all-you-can-eat or a la carte experience featuring sushi, sashimi, and other dishes made using fresh, high-quality ingredients, is joining Folsom’s Palladio (330 Palladio Parkway, Suite 2045) this fall.

 

Local café World Traveler Coffee Roasters (worldtravelercoffee.com) is bringing their globally sourced beans, freshly baked pastries, and made-to-order sandwiches and paninis to the Galleria at Roseville. The businesses’ seventh location is scheduled to open later this summer.

 

Dive into creativity and spark your inspiration at The Design Hive (thedesignhiveedh.com), a new workshop space at 1216 Suncast Lane, Suite 3, in El Dorado Hills. Classes—taught by local creatives—are offered in everything from painting, calligraphy, and floral arranging to cookie decorating, soap making, and more.
