Strad Meadery was started in 2011 to bring back the oldest alcoholic beverage, one that the ancients called “Nectar of the Gods.” They fermented honey to make what we now know  today as Mead. It contains half the alcohol of wine. Its fresh crisp flavors are light without filling, quenching our thirst and lifting our spirits.

Having an ABV of ~8%, we create light refreshing meads in a variety of flavors.

The logo is comprised of a stylized violin (A Stradivarius made by Antonius Stradivari in the 17th century) floating over a honeycomb with bees flying across the image. The violin is in honor of my grandfather who made and played this beloved instrument for most of his 96 years of life.
