As the owner and operator of Higgs Construction, Jim Higgs is your “Do it All” kind of guy. From small repairs to entire remodels, his 40+ years in the residential trade and 20 years in commercial construction really come in handy.

Born and Raised in San Jose, California, Jim’s love for construction started at the young age of nine while helping his father on job sites. They worked hard to provide for their family and for their clients, with an unsurmountable amount of integrity and quality. This hard work cultivated the company you know now as Higgs Construction.

Higgs Construction originated in the Bay Area in 1987, originally operated by his father. Now, 31 years later, he successfully runs the family business, covering most of Sacramento and el Dorado counties. 

You can always count on Jim to be very passionate about the construction trade. It's not only reflected in his work, but his interactions with his clients. As a homeowner himself, he understands firsthand that work performed on homes can sometimes be costly and frustrating. Jim does his best to make sure that jobs not only flow easily, but get done right the first time.
