Services or products you offer: The Momma Bear Bakery is a home-based cottage food bakery that specializes in pastries for mom and baby, taking local kids from breast to the best sweet treat! Our Booby Bites are homemade lactation support cookies and brownies full of milk boosting galactagogues specifically made with breastfeeding mothers in mind. When your milk-loving kid gets older, we’re here to give them their first taste of cake with custom-made smash cakes.

What you enjoy most about your profession: I enjoy the creative freedom in designing each customer’s order.

Fun fact about your company: After 17 years working in restaurants all over Sacramento and El Dorado County, I’ve officially been in business for myself for a year and it feels amazing! I do it all myself right now but I’m planning on expanding within the next year.

First job: My first job was at my best friend’s mom’s bakery packaging orders and ringing up customers. One of the cake decorators called in one morning and I got the opportunity to learn how to decorate—and the rest is history!

Favorite food: I could live on tacos! If my husband and I can’t decide where to eat I just say, “You know if I pick we’re eating tacos somewhere!”

Last big purchase: I finally outgrew my little chest freezer and bought a commercial freezer.
When not working, you can find me: Spending time with my family.

You love living here because: We can camp in the mountains one day, by the ocean the next, and even camp in the desert by a hot spring without leaving the state.
