Spring Bucket List

Tour Beautiful Gardens.

Stroll through seven of Folsom’s lushest gardens and pick the brains of master gardeners at Folsom Garden Club’s 20th Annual Garden Tour (folsomgarden.org) held April 23 and 24. Stop by the bake sale to grab a sweet treat and pick up a plant for your own garden at the event’s plant sale. Not only will you enjoy the sight of beautiful colors and textures but you’ll also enjoy knowing you’ve contributed to the Garden Club’s scholarship and grant programs.

Run a Race.

Join fellow runners and walkers in a 13-year tradition that raises money to benefit the American River Parkway at the Parkway Half Marathon (parkwayhalf.com) on April 30. Live bands along the scenic courses will keep you pumped as you race through blooming meadows to the finish line, where you’ll enjoy a post-race lunch and beer garden. Kiddos can join the fun by participating in the 1K Kids’ Otter Dash.
