Their address may say Folsom, but once you walk through the doors of Chant’el Café you’re transported to a beautiful European city. The chandeliers, flowers, and Instagramable selfie wall are all perfect touches to lead you straight to their heavenly food. If you’re indecisive like me, then you’re going to have to order more than one thing and probably some food to go! Here are a few suggestions, though. I highly recommend the Syrniki (farmer’s cheese pancakes).

They come topped with either strawberry jam and sour cream; condensed milk and fresh fruit; or chocolate, caramel, and nuts. I’ll make it easy, and tell you to order all three. You should also try one of their croissants; the butter one serves as the base to their beloved Salmon Croissant Sandwich and is baked fresh daily (along with everything else in their picture-perfect pastry case—cakes, tarts, mousses, and more).

It’s no wonder the scent of warm baked goods wafts your way upon entering. Your experience wouldn’t be complete without a fresh cup of coffee, lovingly made Raspberry Latte (topped with freeze-dried raspberries for a touch of tartness and photo-ready finish), or fresh fruit tea. Cozy up and while away the day…European style!
