Chant’el Café (chantel-cafe.business.site) recently opened its doors at 1750 Prairie City Road, Suite 150, in Folsom. Everything at the European-style café—whose inviting, airy ambiance includes a wall of roses—is made fresh daily, including croissants (and croissant sandwiches), crêpes, cakes, high-quality coffee drinks, and more. In addition, a portion of all purchases goes to Save a Life International (savealifeintl.org), a nonprofit that helps women in crisis.

There’s a new hard kombucha brewery coming to Rancho Cordova’s Barrel District! Shorebirds Brewing Company (drinkshorebirds.com)—which will offer alcoholic versions of the fermented tea made using seasonal fruits—is slated to open later this month at 11327 Trade Center Drive, Suite 355. Local ramen chain Fukumi (fukumiramen.com), which has existing locations in Roseville and Citrus Heights, is opening a third restaurant at Folsom’s Palladio at Broadstone this winter. In addition to authentic bowls of tonkotsu ramen and melt-in-your-mouth pork chashu, Fukumi Chaya will be slightly more upscale and serve a variety of small dishes.
