First things first—this ain't the neighbor kid's lemonade stand! Excuse the slang, but owner Adrienn Chang and Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade have taken their business beyond the stand to a whole new stratosphere. The brand new building still has the island neighborhood vibe…just what the effervescent Adrienn was looking for. The ingredients for her gourmet lemonades, acai bowls, superfood smoothies, “healthy bites” (grain bowls, flatbread sandwiches, and cleverly topped toasts), coffees, and teas are locally sourced (when possible) and handcrafted in-house (Adrienn even makes her almond milk by hand-squeezing almonds!). I sampled a few lemonades like the Lava Flow (coconut, pineapple, and strawberry), the PLG (passion fruit, lemon, and guava), and—my favorite—the Ginger Pineapple, which used monk fruit as a sweetener for those like me watching their sugar intake. All of them were bright and refreshing. I also tried the Cold Brew Crave—acai mix with cold brew, gluten-free granola, bananas, strawberries, coconut, coffee custard, macadamia nuts, raw cacao nibs, and honey—an absolute party in my mouth. And because I couldn't quit sampling, I also tried the Egg + Avocado Toast topped with everything bagel seasoning; this was something I’d happily eat every day. Adrienn's passion for her Maui roots and healthy body, healthy planet philosophy are a perfect match for the WWHL business model—and the El Dorado Hills neighborhood. Stop in and try some lemonade…Hawaiian-style!
