Ask the Experts: How Can I Prepare My Child for Their First Dental Visit?

Q: How can I prepare my child for their first dental visit?
A: One of the best things you can do is begin an age-appropriate conversation a couple weeks prior to the appointment. Talk about the dentist who will help brush and count their teeth. Work it in during mealtimes or while they’re brushing. Additionally, make routine brushing a fun event by singing a song or letting your child explore and count their teeth in the mirror. The more involved they feel in keeping their teeth healthy, the more confident they’ll be when it comes to their first dental visit!

Q: What’s the difference between full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD?
A: Full-spectrum CBD (cannabinoids) includes all parts of the hemp plant, including THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), and is minimally refined, leaving most of the plant’s molecules intact. The THC is taken out of broad-spectrum CBD to provide users with the same relief as full-spectrum CBD without the possible effects of THC. The need for medicinal CBD varies from person to person and both full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBDs offer a variety of benefits, including pain relief.
