THE STUDIO Martial Arts & Fitness (trainatthestudio.com) provided 850 blessing bags—filled with essential daily items and winter warmth—to shelters, nonprofits, churches, families, and individuals in need this holiday season.

Folsom’s HOPE (folsomshope.org)—a nonprofit that strives to mentor, tutor, support, and encourage young people to be their best selves in a loving environment via various programs—is building a community center adjacent to Theodore Judah Elementary School. Northern California PET Imaging Center (norcalscans.org) is the first in Northern California to offer a new, FDA-approved diagnostic imaging test. Cerianna (cerianna.com)—which is a breakthrough in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer and provides physicians with information about the specific cancer, ultimately helping to optimize treatment plans.

Through April 1, the Gallery at 48 Natoma (facebook.com/galleryat48natoma) is showcasing exceptional encaustic paintings from Sierra Wax Artists in their exhibit Movement, Mastery & Medium. In the adjacent Community Gallery at 48 Natoma, the Folsom Arts Association is exhibiting It’s an Abstract World, featuring a unique take on their membership show with abstract paintings in a variety of media. Legal Services of Northern California (lsnc.net) is hosting their annual Valentine Run/Walk: A Virtual Race for Justice (valentine.run)—which supports legal aid for low-income households in 23 Northern California counties—from February 1-14. Participants, wearing their best Valentine-themed attire, will virtually compete in a ¼-mile kids’ fun run, 2-mile, or 4-mile race and then upload their results.
