Know Before You Go: This is a local favorite for mountain bikers, so expect to share the trail. Parking in Folsom Lake SRA is $12. There are many different trails to choose from that can be added on for more mileage.

Why We Love It: Close to home, lake access, accessible year-round, and boulders to climb…what’s not to love? This trail is perfect for a quick half-day hike or full day hanging at the lake.

Trail Notes: Like many trails in Folsom Lake SRA, there’s tons of poison oak. Make sure you know how to identify and avoid this troublesome herbage. As always, practice Leave No Trace ethics and go prepared with adequate clothing, footwear, and water.
