Dr. Cragun established Folsom OB/GYN in 2000, treating women through of all phases of life, from adolescents, to childbirth, and on through menopause. Dr. Cragun is a Board-Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist having completed both medical school and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UCLA School of Medicine. He is considered an expert in minimally invasive gynecological surgery, having preformed thousands. He was one of the leaders in performing and teaching the DaVinci minimally invasive robotic surgery to treat such problems as abnormal bleeding, fibroids, pelvic pain and pelvic organ prolapse. His special interests include vaginal reconstructive surgery, endometriosis and bladder incontinence surgeries. He continues to be a leader in the Sacramento region offering innovative procedures such as MonaLisa Touch, a revolutionary non-hormonal laser treatment for women suffering from post-menopausal pain.
Dr. Cragun is a personable, compassionate, friendly, and caring obstetrician and gynecologist. Dr. Cragun says, “Having the opportunity of sharing in one of the most special times in a couple’s life by helping them bring their child into the world, truly brings satisfaction beyond imagination.” He is married to his childhood sweetheart. They have 4 wonderful children and 11 extraordinary grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys fine woodworking, like building guitars, and carving Santas.
