The Placerville Food Co-op, established in 2011, is the only cooperatively-owned grocery store in El Dorado County. The Co-op is a local, community-owned business. We promote a strong and sustainable community by supporting local businesses, farmers, and producers. Every dollar spent at The Placerville Food Co-op has roughly three times as much local economic impact as a dollar spent at a non-locally owned business. With a mission of being a socially responsible business, the Co-op offers a full selection of natural and organic products, including many that are locally grown or produced within a 10 mile radius. We are proud to feature the highest quality groceries in an ultra-convenient, small-store format.
Your local coop grocery features organic foods, local produce, raw milk, grass-fed meats, a large bulk food selection, specialty cheeses, kombucha drinks and more! Our deli has a wonderful selection of sandwiches, green salads and house made soups. A variety of high-quality cold pressed juices are available pre-packaged or customized to order.
An ever-growing selection of craft beer, wine and specialty spirits enhance our shelves and refrigerated cases. We feature locally-produced, small-batch, unique beverages from spritzers, meads, hard ciders and other hard to find artisanal products.
Another highlight is our expansive wellness department with its vast array of herbal and natural supplements, vitamins, minerals, essential oils, body care, skin care—including a variety of products for adults, children and infants. Many products are available in bulk as well.
