Ask the Experts: What are some benefits to artificial grass?

Q: What are some benefits to artificial grass?

A: There are three main benefits to using artificial turf: little water usage, no maintenance or associated costs, and it stays green year-around. Artificial turf is not only drought-friendly but leaves you with a desirable space, unlike other drought-tolerant yards; in addition, no maintenance means you can focus on the things you enjoy doing in your yard, like spending time with friends and family.

Q: When is the ideal time for orthodontic treatment?

A: The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends a check-up with an orthodontist no later than age seven. Braces usually begin between the ages of eight and 14 when a child has lost most of their primary teeth and the majority of permanent teeth have grown in. Although childhood is the ideal time to align teeth, more adults are opting for orthodontic treatment and coming away with excellent results. The AAO notes that one in five orthodontic patients is currently over age 18.
