For Dr. Marvi Montano-Ip, caring for the community she lives in is good for her and good for her patients.

“Folsom is a wonderful place to live and work,” Dr. Montano-Ip says. “Being able to care for the families that live here is truly special.”

Dr. Montano-Ip is so ingrained in the community that her French Bulldog, Slate, has become something of a celebrity, featured in the pages of Style Magazine!

As part of Mercy Medical Group, Dr. Montano-Ip provides pediatric care for newborns through adolescents. She views her role as a partner with families, offering support at each stage of childhood.

“My care philosophy is rooted in communication,” Dr. Montano-Ip explains. “I believe in being open with my patients and their parents, and listening to their concerns.”

Dr. Montano-Ip also stresses the importance of prevention and believes good nutrition, regular activity and plenty of sleep can make a big difference for everyone in the family. “I encourage the families I see to set healthy goals and pursue them together!”

Currently accepting new patients, Dr. Montano-Ip offers the convenience of online appointment scheduling. She and nurse practitioner Laura Gunther-Maher work side by side to care for their patients’ needs.
