If you’re a fan of wine, craft beer, and scratch-made food, your next dining destination or date night should be at Platinum Wine Lounge in Roseville. Not only does it feature all of the above, but it also has modern, stylish environs, along with top-notch customer service. When it comes to the wine list, choose from bubbles, rosés, reds, and whites—from both wineries near (Amador County, Lodi, Sierra Foothills) and far (France, Tuscany, New Zealand). If you can’t decide, try a flight and choose three! I went with the “Fill in the Blanc” and enjoyed a few new-to-me selections.

My helpful server made some suggestions based upon my palate’s preference and all were wines I’d easily order again. I love a good Charcuterie Board and again, with the help of my waitress, I built an almost-too-pretty-to-eat spread with brie, white cheddar, chive havarti, hand-selected meats, and a variety of crackers, plus dried fruit and marinated olives. They also offer salads made with local produce, fresh-pressed paninis, crispy flatbreads, and other shareables. Dessert? Yes! Order the Brown Butter Cake that's topped with sliced pears, vanilla ice cream, caramel, and sliced almonds; trust me, it’s even better than it sounds. If you love the wine you’re drinking, you can buy a bottle (or two) to take home and pay winery prices. They also have a wine membership, which means special bottles to members only and discounts throughout the year.
