3 Summer Whiskey Drinks

Since we’re almost on the cusp of summer and fall, we thought it would be fitting to bust out that whiskey you’ve been hiding and turn it into something that’s cool enough for warm summer nights yet ready for that crisp autumn air. Check out some whiskey cocktails we’ve found to help make the seasonal transition easier. Best part? If you’re too lazy to make ‘em yourself don’t worry—you can find them at local restaurants!
The Brickface

1 ½ oz Jack Daniels Single Barrel
Southern Comfort and Amaretto float
½ oz orange Curaçao
4 oz fresh lime juice sweetened to taste
Blend ingredients in a shaker

Easy Street

1.5 oz High West Whiskey,
1 oz peppercorn pomegranate syrup (see below)
½ oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
club soda to top off
lemon twist for garnish
Mix whiskey, syrup and lemon juice. Pour over ice and top with club soda and garnish with lemon twist.
Peppercorn Pomegranate syrup
2 l pomegranate juice
1 full ramekin pink peppercorn seeds
½ ramekin black peppercorn
3 bay leaves
2 cups white sugar
Put ingredients in a saucepan and heat till sugar dissolves. Simmer for 20 mins on low heat till slightly reduced. Cool and store.

Apple Barrel Whiskey

1 ¼ oz Jim Beam Bourbon
½ oz Chambord Raspberry Liqueur
Hard Apple Cider to top off
Fresh mint garnish
Blend bourbon and liqueur and pour over ice. Top with cider and garnish with mint.
