Introducing: Kathie Tyler with Belle Mode Consignment Boutique

1012 East Bidwell Street, Suite 500, Folsom, 916-983-5330, bellemodeboutique.com

Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

Belle Mode is a women’s consignment boutique that carries high-quality clothing, handbags, shoes, and accessories and has been in Folsom since 2002. Prior to purchasing the business earlier this year, I was a Belle Mode customer. When the owner decided to retire, I offered to purchase it, and here I am!

What was the first job you ever had, and what did you learn from the experience?

I began working summers for my grandparents when I was 15. They taught me what it means to have a strong work ethic and how to be a responsible employee and reliable person.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

I’m proud that Belle Mode—through its loyal and generous customer contributions after consignment—donates thousands of items each year to organizations such as Snowline Hospice, WEAVE, and a local women’s shelter.

What’s your hidden talent?

I’ve been blessed with a green thumb and love gardening.

What’s your biggest job perk?

The relationships that have developed with so many amazing women; also, providing beautiful items of quality for each woman’s unique style.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

La Placita.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

Camping at Union Valley.

What’s your favorite local event that you go to?

Outdoor concerts at Harveys Lake Tahoe.

And finally, customer service is…?

What makes any business successful.
