Cat Haven in Central California helped rescue Ophelia—a four-month-old bobcat who was a relinquished illegal ex-pet—and she’s currently a resident at the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary where she lives a happy, healthy life. Remember: Wild animals can be affected by humans; if you see one that’s injured or orphaned, contact a professional wildlife rehabber to get them the care they need so they can return to the wild. Ophelia was taken in by someone trying to do the right thing who didn’t have the proper training and therefore became imprinted, meaning she recognizes another animal, person, or thing as her parent and cannot be released back into her natural habitat.
