Introducing Kate Gant, MD; West Oak Dermatology

258 Gibson Drive, Suite 140, Roseville, 916-755-0077, westoakdermatology.com

Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

I’ve been a board-certified dermatologist for nine years and have practiced in this area for the past five years. I started West Oak to continue to take care of my existing patients and to fill a need for more dermatology services in our growing area.

What was the first job you ever had, and what did you learn from the experience?

Trimming and selling Christmas trees on our family-run tree farm. I learned that the hard work of trimming trees in June paid off with beautiful trees and happy customers in December. True sweat equity!

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

My goal is to provide thoughtful and thorough care to my patients and grow as a contributing member of the community in both education and advocacy for skin cancer prevention and skin health. To that end, I recently organized a school program for Skin Cancer Awareness Month, which was so fulfilling.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

They take such great care of our patients, make the experience comfortable and efficient, and love all things dermatology and skin.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

Building a life here with my husband and two children.

What’s your hidden talent?

I make a mean batch of brownies.

And finally, customer service is…?

Excellent patient care in medical and cosmetic dermatology is our ultimate goal.
