Catch All: Summer Concert Series Roundup

Summer’s here…and so is a plethora of live music at local outdoor venues. Grab your calendar and make note of the various concert series! Performing Arts of Roseville has produced Roseville Music in the Park—held every second Sunday through September at Royer Park from 6-8 p.m.—for the past 25 years. Admission is free, and blankets, low back chairs, and picnics are encouraged. "Music in the Park has become a Roseville tradition, and people from all over the area come and join us for a relaxing summer evening of great music!" says Chet Gilmartin of Performing Arts of Roseville. The Town of Loomis Concert Series occurs every second Friday through August from 6-9 p.m. at the Historic Train Depot Plaza. Children’s activities—to coincide with Friday Family Fest—are also present, including a bounce house, face painting, and more. "[This event] provides safe and fun community activities that bring in family and visitors to enjoy the small-town atmosphere," explains Jenny Knisley of the Loomis Basin Chamber of Commerce. Additional concert series include Concerts on the Square every third Saturday through September starting at 6:30 p.m. at Vernon Street Town Square in Roseville, and Summer Concert Series at the Fountains at Roseville every Saturday through August starting at 8 p.m. on the main stage.
