Roseville Catch All: Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day began as a celebration of the life of St. Patrick, one of the patron saints of Ireland. What started out as a day of prayer, family, and feast has evolved into, well, mostly just feast. Luckily, the annual celebration lands on a Saturday this year, giving you a day of recovery with no questions asked. From March 14-19, The Flower Farm will serve Irish fare from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., along with Irish music and a special performance from bagpiper Jason Briggs on Friday from noon to 2 p.m. The Boxing Donkey will host their annual celebration with special menu items like corned beef tacos and nachos, plus colcannon, and plenty of Guinness and green beer. Festivities start at 6 a.m. on March 17; live music will run from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and the cover charge is $10. Celebrate at The Monk's Cellar from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. with an Irish food menu, live music, giveaways and, of course, their delicious Irish red ale. For a night of fun and giving back, head to Whitney Oaks Golf Club from 5-10 p.m. as the Kiwanis Club of Rocklin Foundation hosts their annual St. Patrick's Day Live Auction and Dinner, where auction proceeds benefit the children of Rocklin and Loomis schools.
