Catch All: The Eleventh Annual Woofstock in Rocklin

Jul 25, 2017 02:11PM ● By Style

If you’re looking to spend some quality time with your pooch or are thinking of adopting a new best friend, head to Woofstock on August 27 at Johnson-Springview Park. There will be an array of canine activities happening throughout the day, including a ”groovy costume parade, an entertaining wiener dog race, a 5K grateful dog rescue run, a morning pawcake breakfast and live music,” explains City of Rocklin Marketing and Development Specialist Monica Nitz. In addition to the multitude of activities, there will also be over 35 rescue groups and non-profit shelters with dogs looking for new homes. “So many of our shelters are overloaded with dogs that need loving homes, and we want to give those rescue groups and shelters an opportunity to help the pooches find a forever home,” says Nitz. This will be the 11th year of the event, and attendance, dog-themed vendors and dog rescues have consistently increased; so join locals in celebrating man’s best friend—you might even end up with a new fur addition to your family!
