Summer is the perfect time to dine al fresco. Eat and drink beneath the warmth of the sun, the shade of trees, or the glow of stars at any of these local restaurant patios.

Mikuni boasts a large front patio with a state-of-the-art slatted roof that automatically adjusts to the angle of the sun. The smoked salmon sashimi is one way to cool off here; the seared tuna poki salad is another.

Sienna Restaurant has an inviting patio area with lounge chairs and a fire pit. Sip on a Siennatini (orange vodka, lime, pomegranate juice and orange liqueur) or get lost in the Bistro Steak Salad.

3 Visit Mexquite for their selection of more than 100 types of tequila, creative Mexican fare and relaxing outdoor patio. The watermelon margarita and ceviche should cool you off muy rapido

4 Get acquainted with Jimmy’s A Greek (includes a cage-free egg, feta cheese, kalamata olives, savory onion jam, dolmades, arugula, sun-dried tomato pesto and a fresh herb waffle) at  The Waffle Experience, and elevate that experience with a mimosa on their peaceful patio.

5 Guzzle down a local ale and polish off a Spicy Porter Burger on Folsom Tap House’s fun and friendly patio. You’ll be glad you did.

6 The patio at Hacienda Del Rio is always upbeat with their bright umbrellas overlooking quaint Historic Folsom. The Ultimate Fajitas (includes their famous marinated chicken, beef and shrimp) and Coronarita are a must.

Visconti’s Ristorante’s patio has a welcoming atmosphere that will make you feel right at home and ready to dig into a serving of linguini and clams with mouthwatering garlic bread.

Bistro 33 has a beautiful patio shaded by trees where you can gorge on The Gorge sandwich (turkey, smoked applewood bacon, Havarti cheese, herb mayonnaise on focaccia bread) alongside a glass of refreshing Chardonnay.

Back Bistro’s enclosed patio offers up a quiet view of the surrounding hills and comfortable seating. It’s the best place to sip some wine and bite into Goat Cheese Fritters alongside a Peruvian green sauce.

10 Inchin’s Bamboo Garden’s patio is on a street corner and the perfect place to catch some vitamin D and watch Folsom go by. Dive into their Chinese bhel (crispy noodle, onion, cucumber and tomato) for a tasty treat.
