Heroes Walk for Life    

May 20  //  Maidu Park, Roseville


Hundreds of area residents dressed up as superheroes and participated in a 2K and 5K walk that supported the Sacramento Life Center and Alternatives Pregnancy Center.

Leadership Rocklin Graduation  
May 18  //  Whitney Oaks Golf Club, Rocklin


Leadership Rocklin—an acclaimed program put on by the Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce—is limited to the top 20 business leaders in the region. The latest group of graduates were treated to a delicious breakfast and ceremony at Whitney Oaks Golf Club.

Rocklin Jazz Festival  
May 17  //  Quarry Park, Rocklin


Over 400 community members listened to 125 award-winning student musicians from area schools at this event hosted by Rocklin High School Music Director Tom Douglass and the City of Rocklin.

Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce Breakfast 
May 25  //  Sierra View Country Club, Roseville


On the fourth Thursday of every month, members of the community gather at Sierra View Country Club to meet other chamber members, network, and find out what’s going on in the Placer County business community.

Quilt Show  
May 19  //  Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Granite Bay


Approximately 500 patrons perused quilts and vendor booths, shopped at a boutique, and took part in a raffle and Opportunity Quilt drawing at this annual show put on by the Roseville Quilters Guild. Proceeds helped support educational and community service efforts.

March for Babies  
April 29  //  State Capitol, Sacramento


Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital (SAFH) joined hundreds of volunteers from departments and affiliates across Sutter Health—in addition to various other teams—to support March of Dimes at this year’s three-mile walk. The SAFH team of 30 employees raised more than $2,150.

Big Day of Giving  
May 4  //  Greater Sacramento Nonprofits


This annual 24-hour fund-raising event for area nonprofits generated nearly $7.2 million from tens of thousands of donors, topping the $7.1 million that was raised last year. Placer Land Trust, Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services, Sacramento SPCA, The First Tee of Greater Sacramento, and Capital Public Radio received the most donations.
