CARRERA PRODUCTIONS

WALTER TROUT

Saturday, March 11, 2017 @ 8:00 pm

After years as an A-list side man with John lee Hooker, John Mayall, and Canned Heat, Walter has enjoyed playing his emotional brand of fired-up, hardcore guitar heavy music, writing and recording his own songs for over 20 years as a solo artist.

As Trout's army of international fans are painfully aware, recent times have taken the bandleader to the brink, following a bleak diagnosis of life-threatening liver failure and Hepatitis C in 2013. Trout's rebirth began with a successful transplant in May 2014, and gathered pace with 2015's Battle Scars, the acclaimed studio album that channeled his near-death experience into raw autobiographical songs.

Released in June 2016, ALIVE in Amsterdam is the sound of a man announcing his ressurection. Walter Trout has never sounded so alive. Last summer he blew the roof off venues from Royal Albert Hall to Buddy Guy's Legends club in Chicago—every fan in the house saw that the man wasn't just back, but playing with a renewed energy and commitment.

Walter shows you magic in the studio, but on stage is where he truly comes alive!

Honored with six Tony Awards, a Grammy, and thousands of standing ovations, the national tour of the longest-running American musical in Broadway history is coming to Folsom for seven performances so you can see it as never before—up close in the intimate Harris Center.

Note: CHICAGO includes mature themes and therefore parental discretion is recommended for children under the age of 13.

As a tribute to the Fab Four, from Ed Sullivan to Abbey Road, the New York Times “can happily report that LET IT BE is by far the best of the bunch...the performers are outstanding” (New York Times). This fully-staged recreation of the band not only features highlights of their career, but also imagines the celebration of John Lennon’s 40th birthday—the reunion that wasn’t to be—performing hits like “Live and Let Die,” “My Sweet Lord,” “Hey Jude,” and other songs never performed live onstage. LET IT BE“stands on its own as a lively, multimedia concert and a rocking good time” (Associated Press).

5th Performance Added on Sunday at 7 pm !
