The 10 Spot: Local Workouts for Folsom and El Dorado Hills

Break a sweat and shed some of that holiday weight by choosing from a variety of local workouts that cater to every fitness level and need.


Water Fitness at Broadstone Racquet Club. Dive into a heated pool for a class that will lessen the impact on your joints, alleviate pain, increase blood flow and provide a balanced muscular workout. 


Infrared Heat Yoga at Radiant Yoga. Heat things up at this class that provides therapeutic and detoxifying benefits, while strengthening your immunity, promoting cardiovascular health, and easing aches and pains. 


Hit the Deck! at Levels Functional Fitness. This workout allots an exercise to each of the 52 cards in a deck. For example, hearts equal pushups, diamonds equal sit-ups, clubs equal burpees, and spades equal squats.

Swim Clinics at Steve Wallen Swim School. These 4-week sessions include multiple classes of 30 minutes—all tailored to meet your specific needs, with the opportunity for one-on-one interactions. 


Fitness Martial Arts at Folsom Martial Arts Center. This program is a full-body challenge that incorporates kickboxing, ripcord drills, medicine ball exercises and bodyweight drills. 


BRIK at Kaia FIT. This six-week boot camp-style program records your current weight and physical fitness level, and provides nutritional guidance and a variety of workouts that yield satisfying results.  


 Orange 60 at Orangetheory Fitness Folsom. These 60-minute workout sessions split into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training with heart rate monitors are meant to track intensity and maximize metabolic burn, increasing energy and burning more calories, long after you leave. 


Youth Athletic Training at El Dorado Hills Sports Club. This program prepares teens for competitive or recreational sports, and gets them stronger and fitter through the basics of lifting and more advanced moves.
