“Not only is Bloom Coffee and Tea totally Instagram worthy (their foam is on fleek), but the

communal tables, cool vibe and out-of-this-world scones make it my favorite café in town. Hint: Look up at the mirrors when you order for a secret menu.”

“I love Flour Garden Bakery in Auburn. It’s been there for years and—in addition to making really good coffee drinks—they have a huge selection of pastries (cookies, cakes, brownies, etc.) and incredible homemade bread. Whenever I’m up that way, especially after a run, hike or bike ride in the canyon, I make sure to stop in.”

“Sometimes I want an iced mocha and a freshly made almond croissant, and sometimes I want an acai bowl and cup of green tea. Sometimes (OK, lots of times), I want gelato at 11 a.m.; whatever I’m craving, it’s within reach at Nugget Markets’ Coffee and Juice Bar. Hey, might as well pick up lunch, dinner or some groceries while you’re there!”

“When it comes to cafés, it’s all about the ambiance. Shady Coffee and Tea’s covered deck is oh-so inviting, with its twinkle lights and cozy couches, and the inside is equally lovely (think little nooks and crannies to study and chill). Their coffee, house-made pastries, food, beer and wine (double yay!) are the icing on the cake.”

“Not only does Ed of Edwin’s Coffee roast his own beans, but they have a pretty patio, the best muffins ever (made by Ed’s mom), and free Wi-Fi to boot. I find myself craving the food and drink concoctions on a daily basis.” 916-632-9753
