Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

Beat the Room is an exciting escape room establishment—a live action adventure game in which players are placed in a room and have to use elements of that room to solve a series of puzzles to escape or solve the mystery within a set time limit. Games are set in a variety of fictional locations and scenarios. You’ll only have your teammates and your combined wits to solve the puzzles and the mysteries inside the room! It’s an experience that encourages teamwork and stimulates the creative brain in a fun and exciting environment. It found us. When traveling, we visited a few escape rooms and had so much fun that we decided to open our own.

What was the first job you ever had, and what did you learn from the experience?

We have all been working since our teen years. Our first jobs—and all others since then—have each provided us invaluable experiences and lessons unique to each situation. We know that all experiences, good or bad, have value in them.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

Our staff is wonderful. An escape room experience should be fun and exciting. Whether you’re an individual coming in to play a room, or an entire corporation hosting a team-building day, our staff wants to make sure you leave here with a smile and the feeling that you can’t wait to come back and play another room.

What’s your biggest job perk?

Everything about this business is a perk—from seeing how much fun people have at our establishment to working on new room concepts; plus, we are a team of family members, and spending time with family is always a plus!

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

We are all movie buffs. A night out at the local theatre is always fun.

Do you know that our editorial is not paid for, nor can it be purchased? In fact, our Introducing and Dine reviews are not paid advertisements. If you’d like your business profiled, please email Megan Wiskus at [email protected]. Once we determine when your business will be featured, we will contact you to schedule a time to come out and take a photograph. Thank you!
