Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

As a coach working with women transitioning, I heard much of the same barriers keeping us stuck, including using our voice well, discovering our passions, confidently living our journey, and offering our stories back. I wanted to create a safe space where we could have these conversations, and I could offer life-coaching tools to help women achieve breakthroughs in order to step confidently into their best life. The four pillars of our coaching company—with each one being a retreat—are Finding Your Bliss, Exploring Your Voice, Living Your Journey, and Offering Your Story.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

My staff is the best because they are more than staff—they are co-owners of Arise & Be. When I founded these coaching day retreats, I approached three retreat participants, Michaela, Sharon and Meredith. They had gone to several of my coaching retreats and believed in the message and transformational coaching tools I offered. Between these retreats and my coaching practice, it became too much to handle, so I approached them—knowing their skillset and experience was what I needed—and asked if they wanted to start a coaching company together. I wanted to invite others to “own” this vision with me and make it better. This is why they are the best; they took it to the next level, and it continues to get better with each event.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

I go to nature and all things beautiful. Being in the beauty of nature calms me and overwhelms me with a sense that there is a loving presence that is constantly caring for me and guiding me. I feel grounded and peaceful in nature.

What’s your biggest job perk?

Stepping into hard places with people and offering them hope as I watch them have “a-ha” moments.

And finally, customer service is…?

Moving people into more clarity, more confidence and more courage; also, giving people the transformational coaching tools they need to step into their best life.
