The Food Bank of El Dorado County will be in the community of Placerville with its Mobile Food Pantry along with a Free Farmers Market on Wednesday October 14th from 10 am to 11 am at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall located at 130 Placerville Drive to distribute emergency supplemental groceries to those who need it most.

If you are struggling to make ends meet, live in El Dorado County and meet the State of California Health and Social Services Agency Emergency Food Assistance Program income guidelines please stop by for your food distribution. Income guidelines can be found online at www.dss.cahwnet.gov/efap/. Please note that the Food Bank will provide one allocation of groceries per family.

The Food Bank of El Dorado County built its mobile food pantry in 2012 to reach the most rural areas of El Dorado County. Each week the Food Bank travels to a different city within the county distributing enough food for up to 150 families. Food Bank Founder Mike Sproull says “Our mobile food pantry is an effective vehicle for assisting El Dorado County’s most at-risk population in areas that may have limited transportation and resources.”

Come rain or shine, the Food Bank will be in Placerville from 10-11am distributing groceries.
