If you haven’t found a mouthwatering concoction to satisfy your afternoon hunger yet, it’s time you visit Cheesesteak & Grill Stop on Prairie City Road. With a variety of menu items—from burgers, wings and subs, to the namesake cheesesteak sandwich—you’re sure to find something that’ll excite your taste buds. After passing by another customer devouring this eye-candy of a creation, I decided to order the masterpiece that is the CGS Special, and soon entered sandwich heaven. A true cheesesteak—loaded with mushrooms, grilled onions, gooey provolone and jalapeños—I couldn’t wait to take a bite. The tender steak packed a mouthful of classic flavor that left me unable to put the sandwich down. Perfected by the mix of melted cheese and spike of jalapeños, the CGS Special is my current must-order when out and about. Although the sub was more than enough to satiate my appetite, the eatery offers an expansive variety of sides too, including garlic fries, fried zucchini and onion rings. Whether taking a lunch break or en route after picking the kids up from school, Cheesesteak & Grill Stop is the place to be!
