The Folsom History Museum is hosting An Afternoon in the Garden of Wonder & Delight on Saturday, June 20, from 2-6 p.m.

The fundraiser will be held in a secret location, a magnificent two-acre garden in Granite Bay, and aims to raise money to put the finishing touches on the new Dolph Gotelli Museum of Wonder & Delight. Located on historic Sutter Street in Folsom, the museum will house and display the collection of Dolph Gotelli, a renowned collector of 19th- and 20th-century toys, folk art and more. But before the museum opens, locals are encouraged to attend An Afternoon in the Garden where they’ll enjoy art, character appearances, live music, light appetizers and drinks.

“Mediterranean flair abounds in this huge garden showcased with the colors and enchantment of Mexico. Steps and pathways lead to fountains, entertaining areas, a rose garden, art pieces and many other compelling features—even a garden of hearts,” explains Garden of Wonder & Delight Communications Specialist Donna Cowan. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased in advance at folsomhistorymuseum.org, or $60 the day of the event. For more information, call the Folsom History Museum at 916-985-2707 or visit folsomhistorymuseum.org.
