“In the eighth grade, I hacked my PS3 using just a TI-84 calculator. I would then examine the source code of my PS3, editing games to my advantage and adding features that were not present in the games to begin with,” says self-taught web-developer and overall tech genius, Bradley Chee.

More recently, he was the recipient of Web Marketing Association’s international award for “Best School Website” where he designed, programmed and developed a website for Granite Bay High School. Although the school doesn’t currently use his design, he’s proud of this feat nonetheless, considering he beat some of the world’s best web designers, and his 24K gold award was made by the creators of the Emmy Awards and MTV Video Music Awards!

Happiest in front of a keyboard, Chee loves attending hackathons, and has won the “Best Game Application” at a competition in the Sacramento area. Hackathons and programing apart, he does do other things like play tennis—having captained his varsity tennis team and led them to three consecutive league championships. What’s more, Chee breakdances in his spare time and is in the top one percent in his class. According to Chee, “It’s cool to be nerdy!”
