Canyon Keepers' Hike This Week
May 18, 2015 11:12AM ● By Brenna Mc Gowan
Join Canyon Keepers for a nature-oriented hike
to the Olmstead area on Thursday, May 21.
Hike leaders will be Gaylene Tupen (wildlife biologist) and Barry Anderson and John Krogsrud (botanists).
The hike will visit a large pond to look for waterfowl and then follow a heavily wooded ravine to see some late wildflowers.
Meet at the Raley’s parking lot on Lincoln Way at 8:30 a.m., or in the parking lot behind the fire station in Cool at 8:45 or so. They will then carpool to the trail-head. Binoculars would be useful for this hike.
Call Barry at (530) 878-7048 if you need more information. For more information about Canyon Keepers, please visit canyonkeepers.org.
