El Dorado County Woman Facing Charges After Running Over Ex-Boyfriend: Police

A Pollock Pines woman is being held on charges of allegedly running over her ex-boyfriend with a car April 16 near Placerville.

Terrie Crampton , 45, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon, felony domestic violence and felony hit and run after the incident that left the man with life-threatening injuries, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office. 

Sheriff's deputies and California Highway Patrol officers responded to the 2000 block of Broadway just east of Placerville at about 2 p.m. for a report of a hit and run involving a 2001 silver BMW. When they arrived on scene, officers found the man with serious injuries. He was taken by emergency helicopter to a hospital in Roseville. 

Crampton later returned to the scene and was arrested, the sheriff's office said. The BMW was found in the 3300 block of Newtown Road. 

Crampton is being held in the El Dorado County Jail on $195,000 bond.
